Day 51

Here it is Saturday and I will be attending a full day training from Jim Britt at a hotel in San Jose. My husband actually agreed to attend with me on the basis he would learn something to apply to his own business. In reality, the methodology used for MLM is not different from other business models. We all want referrals and we all want product evangelists, so why do people pooh-pooh this business model?

My guess is that some of the people that get into the business are pushy and really do not listen to their prospects for either the product or the business opportunity. I am hoping that I am a good listener and can help others achieve their dreams through what I have to offer. It is the approach that really counts.

The seminar was good and not really what I expected. There were two speakers and both absolutely excellent. We did some group work and met a couple of people that could possibly join the business. They were not invited by anyone in particular so I gave them my card and told them to do some research and get back to me when they were ready. Like anyone else, some will and some won’t, I hope they do not fall into the category of static action.

My husband got a lot from the seminar and talked to Jim Britt just before it was Jim’s turn to talk. As a result, my husband will be working on websites and working as the quarterback in interpreting needs and technology (at which he is absolutely excellent). Instead of payment in full for the work, he will be negotiating people for our down line plus some costs. I think it is a good deal and it will certainly help us to start building deeper into our organization.

I also got an email back from a fellow Rotarian that he will be buying the product and passing the info on to people he knows, especially his son (whom I know). You never know what may happen – just keeps me going!
