Revisitation and Decision Making

Wow - time does fly and I am amazed at how little I have accomplished in this business. I do have a downline but they are EXTREMELY inactiv. I keep prodding but to no avail. It seems that people want to have the business, make the money and not put in the effort that is required to make it grow.

My answer is, if you do not put in the effort, no one else will either. I am super guilty of it of late. I do know, however, that if I keep revisiting the reasons I joined in the first place, I will stick with it and make it work. Changing companies is absolutely not the answer because the same habits will follow me no matter what I do.

My habit? Get all enthusiastic, sign up folks, then get bored and move on! I need to make this time different, I need to stick to it, go through the boring parts, and come out the other end with my personal success. I know this business will mold me and help me to achieve the dream of being independent and the director of my own wealth.

Life Sometimes Gets in the Way

It is always interesting to see what people focus on. I find that I was not focusing on my business (building my weatlh), however, I was focusing on my job (the one that pays for everything that I do). During this hiatus, I had a lot of time to reflect on what was not working for me. I certainly have a lot of creative ideas and know they should work. What is holding me back? ME!

Although my ideas were sound, I was not giving them the attention they deserved to make them successful. How many times has this happened to you? Am I ready to quit? Certainly not! I have learned many lessons so far and I know I have more to come.

Right now I am looking at what Social Networking will do for me. I am taking some interesting courses and learning the ins and outs of some of the high visibility sites. Good thing I love to learn - and learn- and learn!

What Does it Take to Motivate Me?

Over the past several days it has occurred to me that I move from being motivated to continue this business to "what have I done!" I am sure more of you feel the same way. I watch as those new distributors rocket out of the shoot and get to first base before anyone can blink an eye.

Most of these fast starters eventually cannot keep up the pace but still earn a good income. Unfortunately,I am not one of the fast starters anymore because I learned that motivation if often fleeting but longevity is much easier. Here is why:

Number one - I am motivated but I do not like to rush into doing things that are against my beliefs.

Number two - I am here for the long haul and will "drip" my way through the first months until I gain momentum. What I mean here is that I am a CONSTANT and I am PERSISTENT in working my way through the maze.

Number three - I work methodically and understand if something is not my genius then I either learn to make it my genius or I hire someone to do the job.

Number Four - I work at the strategic level and dive into the details where necessary.

Number Five - I am ALWAYS there - I show up for meetings, jump on calls, and answer to myself for being focused on the task at hand.

Number Six - The spark is always fanned so that it never goes out - I have that spark and success will not elude me for long.

Number Seven - I work on getting support for what I am doing, not by pushing myself on them, but by living the dream as it unfolds.

Number Eight - I am constantly educating myself by reading books on how to be a more effective person and how to escalate the business. My latest book is Harmonic Wealth - wow what insights!

Number Nine - I keep an eye on the prize by focusing on what I must accomplish each day to move the business forward. I use the 6 steps process for making sure I know when I am creating value-add, business-value or no value at all.

Number Ten - Health is of utmost importance - this is really what creates wealth and being able to live the dream - don't hold back when it comes to health (see what Protandim can do for you www.VitalHealthLV.com)

Remember this is my laundry list of what is important to me for moving forward, yours may be different, but I do know that I am of one mind and I know success is here because of it.

6 Things that will Make YOU a Better Business Person

Everyone wants to know the secret about making money BIG and making it fast. It usually means that most of us are not willing to put in the work and be patient. If you think about it, you cannot eat your coffee cake unless you put in the right ingredients, mix it well, and then exert patience while the mixture cooks slowly in the oven. If you put any of those steps out of order, you will not have the success you expect.

The point is not to rush making the BIG bucks. You have to let things heat up. Following the recipe is key to making anything work. Making FAST and EASY money means you will also spend it quickly as well. Don’t spend your time pushing the envelope and not being patient while the business slowly heats up and comes to a boil.

So with patience in mind, and a mind set of making BIG BUCKS –here are the 6 incredible things you can do to turn your business around today and have it working for you for days to come.

1. Have a winning mind-set, do not let the negative influence your decisions when you know you are going in the right direction.

2. Write down your intentions for your business. This is not setting goals (they have an end point) but setting your mind to the direction you want to take.

3. Put a daily (or weekly) action plan together that will keep you on track with your intentions.

4. Work on your action plan each and every day.

5. Educate yourself on the latest marketing and sales techniques or hire someone that can do this for you.

6. Make a prioritized list of 6 items each evening (for the next day) and work on each item until it is completed before you move on to the next item. Keep focused on this list and make everything else that is not productive wait.
If you can follow these 6 steps, your business will soar without a question. Knowing you intentions, making an action plan and using a prioritized list is the key to mega success.

Set Backs – Does it Really Make You Stronger?

Money really creates issues everywhere you go. I make a good salary and with no debt it is often difficult to come out at the end of the month with some savings. It seems that bills like insurance all come at the same time – a real way to eliminate any savings you had. And to top it all off…it creates arguments at home.

I am the only person working in the household and that is why I need to create an additional income. Unfortunately I get all the negative responses on a constant basis – “you are just keep dreaming”, “it’s all BS”, “I am thinking of leaving because you don’t make enough”. This simply puts the pressure right back on my shoulders. I can do one of two things.

First I can give up and succumb to the negative (and the constantly pulling me away from this to pay attention elsewhere) or I can get myself in gear and hide away during my breaks and at home to work on the business. It is a tough decision because of all the tension it creates at home.

If you have ever gone through this – help me make the right decision – I do not want to let my entrepreneurial fire go out! VitalHealthLV.com is my business and where I want to build on the famos team I already have.

Working with a Budget is Easy if You Know How

I Am All For Education

Sometimes we forget that we need to re-educate ourselves on a constant basis. What we learn today may not be applicable tomorrow. The old way of doing things may no longer be the most effective or efficient in today’s world.

It may seem difficult to keep up with the technology and no one says you actually have to use it. What you do need to do is understand how it can be used to your advantage. Afterall, I drive a very complicated car and know how to use it but there is no way I can repair it, or even understand all the underpinnings of the operation.
So what can technology do for you when you want to recruit just the best people? There are several secrets that will get you there! I am not ready a new ebook that will help me leverage the technology and give me the boost I need to increase my revenues from my current venture.

If you are interested try this one out: bdaoust.buildingonabudget.com - you will be very pleasantly surprised.

Another Day and Still Enthused

Month 5 – Wow how time flies

It is not that this business is not feasible, it is that you need to put time and effort into making it work. I am still trying to hire appointment setters but so far I have run into a wall. Three people have accepted the position but have not taken the time to actually make the calls to get salary in their pocket. I am not sure what the answer is at this point In time but I will use my creative juices to promote the job as telemarketing instead.

My downline is static right now and I need to make time to do the calls on my own. I am continuing to attend all meetings for the company as I know that is what keeps my enthusiasm going. So far the people that have signed as distributors with me are not working the business – the question is – do I work with them to get them going or just move on and say NEXT?

The advice I have been given – is NEXT and not waste my time working with people that cannot help themselves.

So my plans today include starting to find telemarketers and to try out scripts of my own and test them.
